AT-KABUL: At least 10 people including three attackers were killed, another 22 were injured in a Taliban attack on Logar provincial court in eastern Afghanistan Sunday morning, officials said.
Salem Saleh, spokesman for provincial governor told Afghanistan Times that all three bombers were killed by security forces in attack on provincial court, in which seven employees of the provincial court were also “martyred”.
Another 22 people mostly civilians injured in the attack, some of them are in critical conditions.
The attackers succeeded to enter to the courtyard where a number of government employees and civilians were present for their daily work, several of them were safely rescued by security forces before to be targeted by the militants.
Taliban claim responsibility for the attack and claimed it was to revenge execution of their six members by government.
Taliban in recent weeks started an armed campaign against the judicial organs to revenge their executed members. This was the third attack within the past few weeks by Taliban. Two more attacks were carried out in capital Kabul and southern Ghazni provinces in which at least 15 people were killed and several were injured.
