AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A suicide bomber boy, aged 14-year-old was arrested by the Afghan Border Police before he could carry out suicide attack on senior officials in southern Kandahar province, provincial official said on Tuesday.
The boy was told to target the district police chief of Maiwand or the district administrative chief, provincial police spokesman, Ahmad Zai Durani said.
The detained suicide bomber is originally a resident of Panjwai district, the provincial media office said. The terrorist outfits by paying 20,000 Pakistani Rupees had encouraged the boy to carry out suicide attack in the province, the source added.
This is not for the first time that a teenage suicide bomber arrested in Afghanistan, as earlier Afghan spay agency arrested a 17-year-old boy in Kabul, before to exploded his explosives vest. Moreover, last month, a 12 years old child who was received suicide training in Pakistan, surrendered himself to the security officials in Nangarhar province.
Provincial security officials at that time, said that the child was taken to Pakistan to pursue suicide trainings there.
