AT-KABUL: The counter-narcotics police discovered and confiscated over 62,000 kilograms of hashish in Kandahar province, interior ministry said Saturday.
“The hashish was seized during an operation in the Zherai district of,” it said in a statement, adding that the hashish was set on fire in the presence of local officials.
Seven heroine factories were destroyed during the operation as well, according to the statement.
The counter-narcotics police seized and burnt 28.5 tons of narcotics and alcoholic drinks last week in Kandahar province.
