Terrorists sabotage security from within and out of Afghanistan: MoD
AT-KABUL: The defense ministry says terrorist groups threaten security in Afghanistan from either inside or outside the country, a statement likely in reaction to allegations over the Daesh terrorist group’s activities in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw province of Pakistan.
Afghanistan claims that terrorists come from Pakistan, asking Islamabad to prevent terrorist activities in its soil.
Defense ministry spokesman, Ghafoor Javid, said Sunday that Afghanistan has border problems with Pakistan, but added that Kabul was fully protecting border’s this side.
“This is a clear word that Afghanistan’s stability is threatens by Pakistan and tha Ghazni war is a good example. So, everything that threatens causes instability of the countries is threat,” said Javid.
Earlier, A Pakistani politician, Mahmood Khan Achakzai had said that about 40,000 Daesh terrorists would be transferred from the Middle East to Pakistan’s Balochistan.
But, AtiqollahAmarkhil, a military expert calls the moving Daesh fighters a “new game” by Pakistan. “Afghanistan has two ways ahead: first it should ask its allies to pressure Pakistan. Second, it should reinforce its security forces,” said Amarkhil.
He said that the government of Afghanistan should stay on alert and be prepared to annul the new plot by Pakistan.
He added that the border with Pakistan should be provided with tight security, because an open border line hurts Afghan stability.
