AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said Tuesday its operatives arrested three loyalists terrorist of Daesh (Islamic States of Iraq and Syria) eastern Nangarhar province.
A statement issued by NDS said the arrested terrorists were identified as Husian S/O Imamuldian, Zakir S/O Mohasal Khan, Abdul Qayom S/O Abdul Rahim. The captured rebels were tasked by the commander of Daesh terrorist Mullah Rabbani to conduct terrorist activity in Achin distract of the province.
This comes as local officials in the province earlier said the militants loyal to the Daesh terrorist group who are engage in fight against Afghan security forces are mostly come from Pakistan.
On Monday, the national security adviser Haneef Atmar said that if the Islamic State, which is also known as Daesh, finds safe havens in Pakistani soil, it will grow like all other previous monsters.
He said that Afghan security forces conducted large-scale operations against Daesh fighters, in which dozens of them were killed and wounded.
It is worth mentioning that militants loyal to Daesh insurgents had made last-ditch efforts to turn two districts of Nangarhar—Kot and Achin as their stronghold, but the Afghan security through air and ground operations flushed out the Daesh insurgents from the districts.
