KABUL: A magnetic bomb blast killed at least three members of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) and wounded three others in the central province of Parwan. Provincial Police, Abdul Rauf Urozgani said that the incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Hofian avenue of Charikar, the capital of Parwan. According to him, the attack targeted the vehicle of deputy directorate of provincial intelligence agency, Najeeb Fahim. Two guards and a driver of Fahim were killed and three others wounded, he said, adding that the deputy intelligence director escaped the attack unhurt. Head of provincial hospital, Qassim Sangin confirmed that they received three dead and five wounded. The two wounded are said to be in critical condition. This comes as a car bombing on a district police department in the northern province of Baghlan killed four security forces and wounded 28 others. The attack occurred in Baghlan-e-Markazi district of the province. An Afghan peace delegation flew to Doha capital of Qatar to resume the stalled peace negotiations with the Taliban.The Taliban have been ramping up attacks to put pressure on the Afghan government as the U.S. and NATO Forces are exiting Afghanistan. The Afghan officials accused the insurgents of being reluctant to engage into peace negotiations, saying that the group sought military victory. With the violence ragging across the country, the two conflict sides are blaming each other for triggering offensives and hostilities. The Afghan government is also struggling with political controversies inside in Kabul.
