Traffic accident leaves 5 dead in Nangarhar

AT-KABUL: At least five people have been killed and seven other received injuries in a traffic accident occurred on Tuesday in eastern Nangarhar province, official said.

The car crash happened on Jalalabad-Torkham highway in Rodat district of the province, in which five people, including a woman and three children were killed.

Provincial governor spokesman, Attaullah Khogyani said that the incident took place when two Corolla model cars collided in Surkh Diwal area around 7am local time.

According to Khogyani, all the victims of the incident have been transferred to the Zonal Hospital in Jalalabad, the provincial city.

The health condition of the injured people reported stable.

Without doubt, most of such incidents are due to recklessness of the drivers, and bad road condition.
