Truck loaded with explosives seized in Paktika
AT-KABUL: National Directorate of Security – NDS – on Wednesday said its operatives had discovered and confiscated a truck loaded with ammonium nitrate in Paktika, which they believed would have been used for terrorist activities.
NDS special detachment operatives succeeded to discover and seize a Hino model truck full of ammonium nitrate during an operation in Urgon district of southern Paktika, said a press statement issued by NDS.
Statement said that the fearful Haqqani Terrorist Network weapon and ammunition supplier Rawoof and Matin Gul planned to transfer 62 sacks of ammonium nitrate to Ghazni, who identified and arrested with the truck full of ammonium nitrate.
Statement said that the track was embarked in of ammonium nitrate in Wana of Waziristan, which arrested culprit planned to carry it through Paktika to Ghazni province for making mine and suicide vests.
The terrorist used Khost number plate for the truck carrying ammonium nitrate, added statement.
