Two pilots injured in Kandahar chopper crash

KABUL: Two pilots had a lucky escape with rare injuries after the chopper they were flying crashed in southern Kandahar province, said military officials on Wednesday.

Maj. Sadiq Esa, Deputy Commander of the 205th Atal Military Corps said the incident took place at the Kandahar Airport at 7am local time.

He put technical issues behind MD-530 chopper crash, where two pilots had received injures as a result.

“The crashed helicopter had technical problem as it fell before to safely make landing,” he said.

He termed health conditions of injured pilots out of dangerous.
