Two wounded in Kabul bomb blast

KABUL: At least two people were wounded after a sticky mine hit a vehicle in Kabul city, officials confirmed on Sunday.

A magnetic mine targeted a Hilux model vehicle in the Fourth Microrayon area, Police District 9 which as result two people received injuries, said a statement issued by Kabul Police Press Desk.

The statement said that the wounded people shifted to hospital for treatment.

Also police managed to discover and defuse a mine placed by the terrorists in Tanikot area Police District 7 in Kabul, the statement added.

By discovering and confiscation of aforementioned mine police managed to prevent killing and wounded of innocent people.

Violence including magnetic bombs and targeted killings have unprecedentedly increased in the capital city of Kabul in recent few months. These incidents are claiming the lives of people mostly civilians on daily basis.

The attacks which are not claimed by anybody are carried out while efforts inside the country and outside are going on to encourage the Taliban to stop violence and agree on a cease fire with the government of Afghanistan and pave the way for a durable peace.
