AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: A cache of nearly 200 weapons of different types has been recovered in eastern Khost province, said official on Monday.
According to Khost governor’s office, the weapons were seized during a raid carried out in Spina Piyala area of Alisher district.
The source said the cache included 40 Kalashnikov guns, 157 pistols, PK machinegun, ammunition and other materials used for weapons.
The source added that the weapons were planned to be transported to other provinces but the bid was thwarted by security forces.
No one has been arrested in connection to the weapons but an investigation is still ongoing.
