AT News Report-KABUL: At least 13 people have been martyred, and over 35 others received injures in a car bomb explosion on Friday near to a sports stadium in Lashkargha, the capital city of Helmand province, official said.
Confirming the blast, provincial governor spokesman, Omar Zwak said it occurred at a time when people were leaving a wrestling match from Ghazni Ayoub Khan Sports Stadium.
President Ashraf Ghani strongly condemned Helmand bombing saying, the enemies of people of Afghanistan in third day of New Year targeted innocent people while they were engaged in local sports to celebrate Nawroz.
President Ghani emphasized that the terrorists by conducting such coward attacks could never prevent the Afghan masses from celebrating traditional, religious and cultural events in the country.
However, there is no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
