13 rebels eliminated in Helmand raid

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Nearly 13 militants were killed in a military operation in southern Helmand province, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said in a statement on Wednesday.

The statement said the operation was launched by 215th Maiwand Corps in Musa Qala district of the province to clear the anti-government insurgents.

There were no civilian or military casualties during the operation, read the statement.

“The forces also recovered two mines during the operation,” it added.

However, the Taliban rebels are yet to comment on the operation.

With the increasing of insurgent activities in the country, the security forces have launched military operations in a number of parts of the country to clear the militants.
