AT-KABUL: As many as 130 armed insurgents, including four foreigners, were killed and 87 other injured in Ghazni, Kunduz, Nangarhar, Farah Sar-e-Pul, and Helmand operations.
The Ministry of Defense in a statement issued on Thursday said that during last 24 hours at least 130 rebels were killed in different part of the country as a result of joint operations of Afghan security forces.
The statement added that in the operations 11 insurgents, including five foreigners were arrested and 87 other injured by Afghan security forces.
The Ministry of Defense stated that Afghan security forces were ready to defend the sovereignty and stability of the country.
The statement clarified that in the operation six Afghan soldiers also were killed by enemy heavy weapons and roadside mines.
