KABUL: 16 patients have lost their lives battling the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, Afghan health officials said on Monday. In total, 1,344 patients lost lives since the virus outbreak started in the country nearly six months ago.
According to health officials, 107 new cases were registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 37,267. Moreover, 187 covid-19 patients have recovered within the time which the total recoveries reached to 26,415.
31 new positive cases registered in Kabul, 16 in Herat, 16 in Faryab, 10 in Bamyan, nine in Daykundi, six in Farah, five in Takhar, four in Badghis, three in Kunduz, two in Urozgan and one cases each in Nangarhar, Baghlan, Badakhshan, Helmand and Kunar provinces.
