22 insurgents killed in operations

AT-KABUL: Twenty Two Taliban fighters were killed and two others were woundedin different crackdowns within past 24 hours.

In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD)said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Khost, Paktika, Wardak, Ghazni, Kandahar, Zabul, Sar-e-Pul, Takhar and Helmand provinces.

In these operations 22 rebels including six Daesh fighters were killed and two others were injured.

Four rebels were arrested and handed over to judicial organs for further inquiry.

ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.

Unfortunately two army soldier were killed in the operations.
