24 militants killed in ops

AT-KABUL: At least 24 Taliban fighters were killed and 13 others sustained injuries in different crackdowns within the past 24 hours.

In a press release Ministry of Defense (MoD) said the Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and the National Directorate of Security (NDS) has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Nuristan, Uruzgan, Farah, Nimroz, Kunduz and Helmand provinces. In these operations more than 24 rebels including eight Daesh loyalists were killed and 13 others injured.

ANA seized huge cache of heavy and light weapons, the ministry claimed, but did not provide details.
