24 New COVID-19 Cases Reported in Afghanistan

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 24 new cases of COVID-19 out of 1,006 suspected samples tested in the last 24 hours, said ministry of public health on Monday.

Six patients were fully recovered during the same period of time, according to the ministry.

The new cases were recorded in Kabul, Nangarhar, Paktia, Nimruz, Kunduz, Laghman and Uruzgan provinces.

Afghanistan officially has 56,177 positive cases and the total number of reported deaths is 2,464. The total number of recoveries is reached to 49,743.

The number of deaths from COVID-19 globally is more than 2,716,196 and the number of known global coronavirus cases is 123,245,026, according to Johns Hopkins University.
