AT-KABUL: AT least 25 Daesh terrorists were killed during a joint clearance operation lunched by security forces in eastern Nangarhar province, ministry of interior said Tuesday.
“21 Daesh terrorists were killed and 11 other Daesh terrorists were wounded in Pachiragam district” the ministry said in a statement.
“Four other Daesh terrorists were killed during an airstrikes in the Ghazi Khil village, of Pachiragam.”
The statement said the clearance operation still continues in insecure villages of the district.
Elsewhere, two professional car thieves were arrested in an operation conducted by security forces in Logar province, security officials said.
“They were identified as Mohammad Naeem and Talib Jan,” in a statement ministry said.
It added they were involved in different cases of car theft and robbery while they were arrested during robbery of a car in Mohammad Agha district.
“A Kalashnikov and gun were obtained from the terrorists,” the statement noted.
It said they are currently in police custody and the further investigation is going on.
