27 insurgents including commanders killed in Helmand

AT-KABUL:  Four Taliban commanders were killed among with 23 insurgents in the Grishk district of Helmand province in operation launched by the Afghan National Security Forces, said Ministry of Defense in a statement issued on Tuesday.

The statement said Mawlawi Raqib, Qari Ferdawsi, Mawlawi Jihadullah and Qari Umeri commander of Taliban along with their 23 other fighters were killed and 14 other insurgents injured in the raids.

The defense ministry in the statement also said that 25 Taliban fighters were killed and 27 other injured by air strikes in the Balablok district of Farah province.
