3 Daesh, including a Turkish detained in Nangarhar

AT-KABUL: Three fighters loyal to the Islamic State, also known as Daesh terrorist have been detained in Nazian district in eastern Nangarhar province, a security official said, adding one of them is Turkish citizen.
“We have arrested three senior Daesh members including a Turkish citizen named Mohammad,” provincial police chief Ghulam Sanai Stanekzai told Ariananews. “The detained individuals were handed over to the National Directorate of Security for further investigations.”
Moreover, a joint military operation of Afghan and foreign forces is underway in different part of province, in which according to police official ten villages in Haska Meyna district have so far been cleared of militants.
“We have established strong checkpoints in the area,” he said. “Our military operation is still ongoing, the Daesh and other terrorist groups are not able to resist.”
