30 terrorists dead in military raids

AT-KABUL: At least 30 militants were killed and three others wounded in multiple extensive military crackdowns within past day.

In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan NationalArmy (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areasof Nangarhar,Kapisa,Ghazni,Paktia,Khost,Kandahar,Zabul,Oruzgan,Badghis,Herat,Faryab,Baghlan,Sar-e-pul, Kunduz and Helmand provinces.

Statement said that in these operations 30 insurgents were killed and three others wounded.

Afghan forces arrested four suspects during operations and handed over them to judicial organs for further inquiry.

Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.

During these operations in the past 24 hours, 13 ISIS affiliates were killed in Darapech district of Kunar, eight insurgents were killed and three others wounded in Tagab district of Kapisa, four insurgents were killed in Andar district of Ghazni and two insurgents were killed in Charkh district of Logar province.

Similarly, three insurgents were killed, four suspects were arrested, 13 hideouts destroyed and 16 IEDs were defused in Garmser district of Helmadn.

In past 24 hours,16 planed clearing operations,and115Special Forcesoperations conducted in different provinces; also, Air forces conducted83aerial operations supporting Afghan National army includingeight strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.

ANAdiscovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.

ANA as the nation’s defense forces are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
