38 insurgents killed in operations

AT-KABUL: At least 38 Taliban fighters were killed and30 others were wounded in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.

In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Kunar, Logar, Paktia, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Badghis, Farah, Faryab, Baghlan, Kunduz, Sar-e-Pul and Helmand provinces.

“In these operations, more than 38 rebels including five commanders were killed and 30 others were injured.”

ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.

On the other hand police special unit said that two fighters loyal to Daesh were targeted and Killed in eastern Nangarhar.

The Daesh fighter were carrying weapons to Daesh insurgents, who were killed by coalition airstrike in the province.
