AT News Report-KABUL: More than 380 insurgents have been killed and 129 wounded over the past six months in military clampdowns by Afghan forces in eastern Nangarhar province.
Afghan forces have conducted operations against terroristsin Achin, Nazian, Chaparhar, Khogiani, Pachiragam, Haska Mina, Ghani Khil and Batikot districts, killing at least 380 insurgents and crippling 129 others, a statement by Nangarhar provincial office said.
As many as 371 terrorists have also been apprehended during the counterterrorism operations, it added.
Police forces have also captured 14 people on charges of kidnapping, 68 people for murder, and 27 for robbery, according to the statement.
The operations have led to the seizure of 225 rifles of different types, 234 kilograms of explosives, 32 vehicles and 263 rounds of mines.
