A-Qaeda fighters killed in NDS crackdown in Paktia

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) killed eight al-Qaeda fighters, including a senior commander, in Mokhtar Mina area of Gomal district of Paktia province.

A press release issued by the NDS said the spy agency said that NATO’s Resolute Support (RS) also assisted them in the crackdown in which al-Qaeda militants were killed.

Three of the killed al-Qaeda terrorists were identified as Khuram alias Qasim, Junaid and Hassan. The NDS furthered that six laptops, hard disks, four cell phones, pistols and explosives were recovered from different hideouts during the operation. Later on NDS destroyed the hideouts.
