Afghan lady won the “Aurora” award


Kabul: Human rights defender and education activist Jamila Afghani has won the seventh Aurora prize for Awakening Humanity 2022.

Aurora Humanitarian Initiative in a statement in Venice city of Italy announced that the 7th Aurora Prize was awarded to Jamila Afghani.

Aurora Humanitarian Initiative said Jamila Afghani, the founder of Noor Foundation, has enrolled over 100,000 women since August 2021 in Noor Foundation for literacy programs.

Aurora prize since 2016 is annually awarded to people who make significant gains in the field of humanity services. The winners are awarded one million dollars.
