Afghanistan records 43 new COVID-19 cases

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 43 new coronavirus positive cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 38,815 across the country.

The Ministry of Public Health on Tuesday said that out of 232 suspected samples, 43 were positive—29 cases were recorded in Herat, five in Balkh, four in Kabul, three in Badakhshan and one case each in Jawzjan and Uruzgan provinces.

25 covid-19 patients have recovered and one another lost his life during this period, the ministry said.

The total recoveries exceeded to 32,098 and the deaths to 1,426 since the outbreak of the virus started in the country.
