Afghanistan records 49 new cases of COVID-19

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 49 new coronavirus positive cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 39,145 across the country.

Health Ministry said that out of 213 suspected samples tested in laboratories in the past 24 hours, 49 were reported positive.

According to MoPH, 17 cases were recorded in Hirat, 10 in Daykundi, nine in Balkh, six in Kabul, five in Badakhshan and one case in each Maidan Wardak and Paktia provinces.

MoPH said that one patient died of covid-19 and 34 others have recovered in the past 24 hours.

The patients have recovered exceeded to 32,610 and dead number to 1,446 since the outbreak of the virus.
