Afghanistan records 72 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

KABUL: The health ministry has reported 72 new cases of coronavirus across the country within the last 24 hours.

The ministry in a statement said Saturday that the new tally was recorded out of 1,175 suspicious samples.

The total number since the outbreak of the epidemic reached 57,793 cases in the country.

The Ministry said that 10 patients have recovered during the same period of time.

The total recoveries exceeded to 52,115 and the deaths to 2,539 around the country since the outbreak of the pandemic started in the country one year ago.
