Ammunition cache seized in Logar, Ghazni

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Saturday said that intelligence personnel succeeded to discover and confiscate huge cache of ammunition in Logar and Ghazni provinces.

In a press statement issued here the spy agency said that in separate crackdowns against terrorists the NDS discovered and seized large cache of ammunition in Baraki Barak and Mohammad Agha districts of Logar and Andar district of Ghazni provinces.

As much as 250 kg explosives, 35 anti-personnel mine, 23 anti-vehicle mine, 12 magnet bombs, 25 mortars, 17 rocket launchers, one each hand grenade and a machine gun were recovered. The ammo was kept hidden by the insurgents for use in anti-state activities, the statement added.
