Asfandyar stresses more China role in Afghanistan

“Peace in Pakistan would be a dream until durable peace, stability in Afghanistan”

AT Monitoring News-KABUL: Awami National Party (ANP) Chief, Asfandyar Wali Khan has called on China to play role as guarantor between the Afghanistan and Pakistan instead of facilitator.

While addressing a huge workers power show in Pishin district of Baluchistan, Wali Khan said wars and terrorism were imposed on Pashtun nation, adding, Pashtun blood was ruthlessly shaded for the past several decades, had a larger number of casualties as compared to the 2nd World War.

He emphasized on peace and development to be prevailed in Afghanistan. “Peace in Pakistan would be a dream until durable peace and stability in Afghanistan,” Asfandyar Khan added.

Speaking on the continued issue of trust deficit between Afghanistan and Pakistan, Asfandyar Wali Khan enhanced China’s role and called on it to make sure its role as guarantor, rather than facilitator.

He said Pakistan had severe and tensed relations with three among its four neighbors. He called on the government of Pakistan to review its foreign policy to identify and overcome fault lines and weaknesses.

He came hard over the federal government of Pakistan for non-implementation of National Action Plan in its true letters and spirit.

“Pashtuns had been suffering worst because of discriminative treatment and measures adopted by the state and government institutions in Baluchistan,” ANP provincial president for Baluchistan, Sardar Asghar Khan Achakzai said.

He slammed government over humiliating Pashtuns and Baluch on check-posts of security forces across Baluchistan.

It comes at a time when political parties in Pakistan have been organizing their party structures and wings and holding workers gatherings to reach power corridor in Pakistan, after conducting general elections in 2018. However, the country had worse record of free and fair elections where human rights violation is a matter of day to day. Pakistan’s security establishment continuously had its tight control over the electoral process of the country and always succeeded in achieving controlled and designed results in each and every constituency across Pakistan.
