At least 57 arrested in anti-drugs campaign
Counter Narcotics Policehave arrested more than 57 suspects with 15 tons of drugs in possession as part of an operation against drug trafficking in ten provinces in past week, officials said.
Ministry of Interior on Wednesday said that fifty seven people have been arrested in anti-drugs campaigns with a total of 15 tonnes of drugs apprehended.
The police have launched 45 crackdowns against drug runners in 10 provinces in the past one week, which as result 15 tons of narcotics discovered and seized, said a press statement issued by CND-MoI.
Statement said that the confiscated drug including heroin, hashish, opium, tablet K and alcoholic beverages.
Statement mentioned that 57 suspects were arrested in connection to the seized narcotics.
The indicts were arrested and narcotics seized in Kabul, Nangarhar, Herat, Farah, Paktia, Nimroz, Kapisa, Khost, Baghlan and Badakhshan provinces, noted statement.
One narcotics process laboratory destroyed and 10 vehicles were seized during operations.
