Atmar, McMaster discuss bilateral political cooperation

AT-KABUL: The National Security Adviser, Haneef Atmar on Saturday in a video conference with his US counterpart, Herbert Raymond McMaster, talking on the implementation framework of the bilateral political cooperation.

“The two sides discussed in detail the implementation of the US-Afghanistan bilateral pact and agreed upon set of benchmarks for reform,” the national security council said in a statement.

“The two national security advisers also discussed peace process efforts, counter terrorism and regional cooperation.”

Atmar and McMaster look forward to further exchanges to improve security and stability in Afghanistan, according to the statement sent to Afghanistan Times.
