KABUL: At least 12 civilians were killed and two others wounded, including women and children, after a passenger vehicle struck a roadside bomb planted by the Taliban in southern Paktia last night, according to officials.
A roadside bomb that Taliban planted went off in Chino village of Sayed Karam district, after a passenger vehicle passing by the area hit it, said Paktia Police in a statement. The explosion killed as result 12 members of a family and injured two others.
Six children, three women and three men were among the fatalities.
The roadside bomb was planted by the Taliban on the public roadside, which led to the tragedy, added the statement
