Kabul: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan says that a delegation led by its deputy foreign minister, Sharaf Sheralizoda, has discussed Afghanistan’s situation in a meeting held with the the UK Minister of State for European and North American Affairs Leo Docherty in London.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan during the meeting both parties exchanged views on a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in political and economic fields, investment and trade, security threats such as terrorism and extremism.
The announcement added that the strengthening of borders and technical support for Tajikistan’s green energy projects and programs and the importance of organizing the trips of high-ranking officials of the two countries were among the other issues discussed in this political dialogue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan has said that at the end of this dialogue, both sides have signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
According to the ministry, the Tajik and British delegations agreed to continue constructive dialogue to strengthen relations in areas of mutual interest.
