Coronavirus; Afghanistan records 1,243 cases, 84 deaths

KABUL: Afghanistan recorded 1,242 cases of the pandemic Covid-19, bringing the total tally to over 125,937.

The new cases were recorded out of 4,642 samples tested in the country’s laboratories within past 24 hours. During this period, 84 patients died, while 806 others recovered. The total number of deaths reached 5,283.

This comes as the Afghan health officials have warned a deadly disease of Black Fungus. According to them, so far, two confirmed cases of black fungus have been recorded in the country.

Amid a spiking outbreak of the pandemic, the hospitals and many other medical are scrambling with shortage of the Oxygen and medical supplement.
