COVID-19: Afghanistan records 126 new infections, 11 deaths on Saturday

KABUL: Afghanistan recorded 126 new positive cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 48,952 cases around the country since the outbreak of the virus started in the country several months ago.

Another 11 patients have lost their lives battling the virus during the same period of time, Ministry of Public Health said Saturday.

These cases reported positive out of 1,060 suspected samples during this period of time. Another 62 patients have fully recovered in the past 24 hours, according to the health ministry.

The total recoveries exceeded to 38,328 and the deaths to 1,960 in the country.
