Covid-19: Afghanistan records 1,485 cases, 77 deaths

KABUL: The ministry of public health reported 1,485 confirmed cases of the pandemic virus with additional fatalities of 77 deaths.

The new tally was recorded out of 4,238 samples within the past 24 hours across the country. During this period, 834 people were recovered. The total number of cases surpasses 127,464, of whom, 5,360 died.

This comes as the Afghan health officials have warned a deadly disease of Black Fungus. According to them, so far, two confirmed cases of black fungus have been recorded in the country.

Amid a spiking outbreak of the pandemic, the hospitals and many other medical are scrambling with shortage of the Oxygen and medical supplement.
