KABUL: With 319 new positive cases in the last 24 hours, Afghanistan now officially has 31,836 coronavirus cases across the country. Covid-19 positive cases slightly decreased, but still 28 patients have lost their lives to the virus. 1,520 patients were also recovered during this period.
The Ministry of Public Health on Wednesday said that out of 678 suspected samples, 319 were reported positive.
133 cases recorded in Kabul, which followed by Daikundi with 56 cases, 42 in Herat, 21 in Farah, 14 in Takhar, 11 in Badghis, 10 in Kandahar eight in Balkh, six in Badakhshan, five each in Nangarhar and Baghlan provinces.
Similarly, three cases were reported in Logar, two in Maidan Wardak and one each in Laghman, Panjshir and Zabul provinces.
The total recovery has reached to 15,651 and the deaths to 774 across the country since the spiraling spread of the virus in the country.
