Editorial: Happy Teachers’ Day

World Teacher’s Day is celebrated annually on five October, and this year is no different as the world appreciates what teachers have done for us. In this precious day, would like to wish Happy Teacher’s Day to all teachers around the globe, especially to the Afghan teachers who are educating our children under meager resources. We are truly indebted from their indefatigable efforts that have been spraying no efforts to educate the children of the war-hit country even at critical time. According to Education International, over 100 countries observe World Teacher’s Day and there are 401 member organization s who have contributed to this event. Truly, the role of teachers in everyone’s life is great as they are the only visual source of knowledge for their students. Teachers have been providing various essay ways for our kids to learn reading and writing. Undoubtedly, our teachers play a great and most important role in our lives, without their sincere teaching we could not have achieved our dreams and were living blindly in this modern world. They honestly help us to improve our knowledge, skill level; confidences as well as they shape us in the right shape to get success. At the same time, it is our responsibility to heartily welcome and say them wishful thanks for their selfless service of teachings all through the life as well as shaping the life of various students. Teacher’s Day is the great chance for the students to spend a day for them and say thanks for their all out efforts. There is no denying to the fact that a teacher nourishes the soul of a child for a lifetime. A teacher presents the past, reveals the present, and creates the future. It is time for us to expresses our honest gratitude to our teachers for inspiring us to do well in life. Whatever, today, me and others, including high-ranking officials around the globe have achieved, is because of you teacher, so thank you very much teacher, and will never forget your tireless efforts. In this day, schools across the country remain open, and Afghan students celebrate with gifts, presentations and programs for their teachers arranged for their teachers. But, the plights of Afghanistan’s teachers have been remained untold for several years. One of them is the lowest salary for its teachers in the world. Teachers are financially one of the worst hit people of the society. Since our President, Ashraf Ghani, is himself a teacher, and already lots of efforts done to improve teachers condition, but, it is humbly requesting to the President to do more as teachers deserves to be appreciated for their role in nation building and assure the teachers to increase their salaries. Irrespective of any sector, whether formal or informal, everything depends on teachers. Their living conditions have to be improved.
