Rashid Khan, the 19-year-old bowler from Afghanistan has made the whole cricket fans proud by his tremendous performance in IPL 2018. Though, the Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) become second, but the showcase that Khan made in qualifying SRS to the final was excellent just like one man army in the history of cricket. The Afghan masses and the whole cricket lovers are proud of him. His popularity reached boiling point because of his tireless efforts that has never gave up. He plays with his heart and gives his 100 percent to undercut the opposite team. He also has blessings of millions of people. The entire Afghan people are praying for his success and for other Afghan cricket players. Rashid Khan is best bowlers in the world with ranking No. 1 bowler in both ODIs, and T20s before IPL began. It won’t be wrong to label him as highest wicket-taker. In every match, he produced an all-around performance. It is worth mentioning that after a match-winning all-round performance with both the bat and the ball for SRH, Rashid Khan’s Indian fans went in frenzy and demanded on the social media to give him an Indian citizenship and let him play for India. The demand of cricket lovers received response from President Ashraf Ghani who replied that he will not giving him away. In his twitter account he said, “Afghans take absolute pride in our hero, Rashid Khan. I am also thankful to our Indian friends for giving our players a platform to show their skills. Rashid remind us what’s best about Afghanistan. He remains an asset to the cricketing world. No we are not giving him away.” Definitely, Rashid Khan belongs to us and also a great asset to the cricketing world. Even Sachin Tendulkar, the famous cricketer has tweeted regarding Khan, saying at the moment he is the best T20 bowler in the world. Tendulkar, is very famous in Afghanistan and his tweet regarding Khan made his popularity more. Khan ended IPL with 21 wickets that remarkably, every top-order batsman was troubled by him at some point during the tournament. They simply failed to read his well-disguised googlies, leading to their downfall. Despite cricket is nascent phenomenon in Afghanistan, but the achievements gained in shortest time are amazing.
