‘Equip Afghan forces to fight terrorists’

US bombing is not acceptable: Ex-lawmakers

AT-KABUL: Ex-lawmakers condemned the US airstrike in Achin district, urging the United States of America (USA) should equip Afghan forces with modern and heavy weapon in order to eliminate terrorist groups across the country.

The US forces Afghanistan conducted an airstrike against ISIS-K complex in Achin district Nangarhar province on Thursday and targeted Daesh hideout by GBU43 the biggest un-nuclear bomb. This attack had different positive and negative reaction.

“If Afghan forces equipped with modern heavy weapons and aerial forces, they would have the capability to eliminate Taliban, Daesh and other foreign terrorist groups across the country,” said Ex-Lawmaker Pacha Khan Zadran.

He said that dropping of biggest bomb is only a power show, which is not acceptable for Afghans.

If USA realty fight against terrorism must target main hideouts of terrorist in other side of Durand, he noted.

We welcome targeting of terrorists and Afghans’ enemies centers, but through a legal process based of the country law, he claimed.

Afghanistan has over 300,000 capable troops, who fight better against terrorist, thus it is essential to the US equip them with modern and heavy weapons to win this war, he insisted.

Criticizing government for its carelessness regarding using of biggest bomb in Afghanistan soil, he said that government must prevent from dropping of mother of bombs in Achin.

Former Senator Amanullah Azimi strongly condemned airstrike attack in Achin, said that US-forces tested his biggest bomb here in Afghanistan.

He said that US-forces through this bomb wanted to give massage to Russia, China, India and Iran.

Dropping of this big bomb is not acceptable for us, he added.

Those who conducted the attack and those who welcomed this bomb attack are both condemnable, he underlined.
