Kabul: The European Union’s foreign policy chief on Monday criticized the lack of international attention being paid to Afghanistan despite the suffering of the people.
“Joseph Burrell”, the foreign policy official of the European Union, pointed out that the Afghanistan crisis has become less important and stated that other countries of the world do not pay attention to this issue.
He added, “Afghanistan issue has disappeared from the eyes of the world and has no place in the headlines.”
Burrell stated that the problems in Afghanistan are still not solved, but no one is commenting on the crisis and problems.
Referring to the situation in Afghanistan, he said: New crises have arisen in the world, while the past crises remain unresolved.
Recently “Claire Daly”, an Irish member of the European Parliament, called the forgetting of the Afghanistan crisis a racist act and emphasized that the reason why the West does not pay attention to Afghanistan situation is the role of U.S. in this crisis.
