Ex-Pakistani President knew about Osama: Karzai

Former Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai spoke to TIMES NOW’s Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, on a wide range of issues from member countries including Afghanistan pulling out of SAARC summit, Indian Army’s surgical strikes across LoC in PoK to destroy terrorist launchpads, Pakistan’s terror truth, Pakistan harboring Osama bin Laden, and former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf’s lies.

The former Afghanistan President backed the decision of Afghanistan and India to pull out of the SAARC summit in Islamabad this November.

Hamid Karzai said,

“The decision to not attend the SAARC summit in Islamabad has my full support. I do back our government’s decision to not attend the SAARC Summit in Islamabad. This is a decision that has my full support.

On being asked whether Afghanistan’s decision to pull out of SAARC summit is in solidarity with India’s position against terrorism from Pakistan, Karzai said,

“Terrorism is one such issue that continues to affect us and comes from across the border. Therefore, the decision of the Afghan government to not attend SAARC is primarily related to this, as is also the case in India where India is not attending SAARC because of cross border terrorism that is affecting India. So, the reason for both the countries is the same.”

Karzai also backed India’s decision to carry out the surgical strikes on terror training camps in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.

The former Afghanistan President said,

“India’s decision is exactly what we’ve been asking the international community to do for a long time. And now that India has taken this action, we back it because this is exactly what we were seeking ourselves.”

Hamid Karzai blaming Pakistan for the current situation in Afghanistan, said it is Pakistan that aids terrorists. Karzai said,

“I blame all the acts of terrorism, regardless of the reign under which it was carried and we know where it comes from,” said Karzai revealing Pakistan’s terror truth.

Karzai exposed Pakistani establishment saying action should be taken by Pakistan on their terror sanctuaries and the establishment that is aiding terrorists. Karzai said,

“When we speak, it is in regard to the establishment in Islamabad, the military, the intelligence establishment, not even the civilian government. I know for a fact that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants peace with India and peace with Afghanistan and wants Pakistan to flourish for better. And it won’t happen unless there is peace and tranquility between all these countries of ours, in this region. Therefore, when we say sanctuaries, when we say address the sanctuaries, when we say action, this is in specific to the sanctuaries and to those in the establishment of Pakistan who run them, who use them against us.”

Karzai said former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf knew about Osama bin Laden’s stay in Pakistan but denied he was staying there.

Karzai said,

“It is impossible for Osama Bin Laden to have lived in Pakistan without the protection of Pakistani military & intelligence establishment. It is impossible. It isn’t simply possible, so close to a military installation, to a military compound and so close to the eyes and ears of Pakistani military establishment, impossible. So, unfortunately that fact was there.”

“No, no he could have not lived there without the protection of the Pakistani state. Impossible.”
