KABUL: The families of those security forces who had lost their lives, went to hunger strike in Khost province.
They criticized the government on Wednesday that for remaining careless to their life conditions, saying they had not received residential plots the government had promised them.
Some 200 people gathered in a sit-in in front of the provincial governor’s office, claiming that the defense ministry had promised to provide them with land plots, but gave it to other people.
They warned to continue hunger strike unless their demands are met by the government.
The families of deceased soldiers and police launched a rally in Khost last week, calling for government attention to their problems.
Provincial Governor, Taleb Mangal, said that they were probing the documents of the families of slain troops and would give them residential lands.
