First-ever online learning system to inaugurate soon

KABUL: The Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) on Monday said it would soon open up the first ever online education system to help facilitate Afghan education lovers to pursue their higher education. The AfghanX Company with the motto of “Knowledge is Ability” will start online learning operation soon.

Spokesman for MoHE Faisal Amin said the first ever AfghanX online learning system with offering Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) is prepared under electronic learning program of the ministry and would start operating in near future.

Speaking at a press conference, he said the students without limitation of time and venue with having few fasciitis like mobile, laptop and internet would have the chance to follow education in qualified institutes across the country.

Pointing toward sending students through scholarships abroad, Amin said some 485 students have been sent on scholarship for bachelor degree and 874 students for master degree and 192 students for PhD programs to 41 foreign universities.

Currently 3,875 students in bachelor 2,056 in master and 358 others in PhD degrees programs have been enrolled in different university in abroad.
