KABUL: Azizullah Fazli, former president of Afghanistan Cricket Board, has reportedly been arrested by the Taliban.

Voice of America quoting a source, who did not want to be named, said that Fazli entered the Cricket Board on Sunday and wanted to take over the board as its new chief, but he was intercepted by Cricket Board guards.

Fazli reportedly had a fake letter from leadership of the Islamic Emirate introducing him as the new cricket board chief. He was then arrested by the Islamic Emirate troops.
