Former Taliban officials ask government to accept interim administration

AT-KABUL: Some then officials of Taliban call on President Ghani’s government to be ready for every sacrifice to strengthen peace including an interim administration.

Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef, who served as Taliban’s Ambassador to Islamabad during Taliban regime, told the Kabul News Tuesday that the insurgents were yet to talk with the US diplomats on an interim administration, but added that Afghan government needed to be ready for every sacrifice including the interim administration if it leads to a longstanding peace.

He believes that the US was exhausted of the Afghan war as its longest military intervention and would pull out whether peace comes or not.
