Four killed in Kabul shooting

KABUL: At least four civilians were killed on Tuesday morning after unknown gunmen opened fire on a car in western parts of Kabul city, sources said.

The incident took place Tuesday morning at 9:20am in Bagh-e-Dawoud area of the PD-5 of Kabul city when the victims were travelling in their car to central Maidan Wardak province.

The victims are employees of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development Directorate of the central Maidan Wardak province, Kabul police spokesman, Firdaws Faramarz said.

Maidan Wardak security officials also confirmed the terrorist attack but denied to give further details.

The attack is part of the recent targeted attacks, which continue in large cities of the country for more than a year.

Taliban infiltrators in such attacks mostly target government officials, intellectuals, rights activists, journalists and religious leaders.
