Ghazni clash: Two policemen, 20 Taliban fighters killed

 

At Monitoring Desk-KABUL: At least two Afghan local policemen, and 20 Taliban insurgents have been killed in a clash in southeastern Ghazni province, officials said on Sunday.

In addition to that, six Afghan local policemen were also received injuries in the clash.

The clash took place in Ayeen area of Qarabagh district after the Taliban insurgents attacked security forces check post, and faced resistance of security forces.

Confirming the news, the Provincial Police Chief, Mustafa Mayar said that during two hour long clash at least 20 Taliban insurgents were killed in retaliation attack.

According to Mayar, the Taliban insurgents received heavy causalities after reinforcement forces arrived and pushed Taliban back from the district.

The attack on check post just comes as the Taliban fighters have been intensified their sabotage activities across the country, but as usual tamed by the iron hand of the Afghan security forces.
